The Awful, Off Tune Garage Band Wedding + Roberto’s Margarita Recipe

After Sunday’s fruits of the spirit themed wedding, you might think Roberto and I are sweet lil’ church mice who need to learn to let our hair down. (My besty wrote me yesterday to say: “Enough already with that weird slicked back hair thing. It’s not working for you.” Point taken.)

But, when we’re not serving each other plates of symbolic fruit, we’re typically weird, vulgar, and silly in that uncomfortable way that couples are silly. Case in point, our awful, off tune Garage Band wedding, made possible in part by Roberto’s new strawberry margarita recipe. (Beto’s dream is to open his own margaritaría.)

I recorded the base proposal track, played it for Beto, and he loved it so much he thought we should add a new track with our impromptu vows. Here’s the awful, off tune wedding that followed. NSFW lyrics. (In other words, I hope my grandmother isn’t watching this.)
