Sneak Peek at “A Day In The Life” of The One Year Wedding

Take a peek at the first shots from our “Day in the Life” shoot with Kary Chiñas Fotografía on March 8th, our 63rd wedding day! We wanted to capture (one of) our wedding(s) in a creative, alternative way and Kary suggested the “Day in the Life” theme — she arrived in the morning and we drank coffee + mimosas, played with Puffy, and talked about all the dirty details of how Roberto and I ended up choosing to get married every day. Then, Kary joined us as we set up and hosted our BBQ wedding — she even helped us pitch the tents!

On March 8th, Kary was half photographer/half bridesmaid and she added so much more to our day than photos. My tip for brides? Choose a photographer who is also a friend. They will see your wedding with eyes of love — and the photos below prove it:

We bought our wedding wear the night before! Roberto helped me pick out my dress and he wore the shirt beaded for him by artist Michael Mwadime on our trip to Kenya this summer.

Had to get a salsa dance in before the day was through! (This one is my favorite.)

So much love and gratitude to Kary Chiñas Fotografía.
